Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Múinteoir Nóirín
Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Múinteoir Nóirín
Today at Murroe National School, we gathered as a community to celebrate the life and legacy of our beloved Múinteoir Nóirín. Nóirín was a cherished member of our staff for many years, and her warmth, kindness, and dedication left a lasting impact on everyone she met—especially the children, who adored her.
In a special ceremony filled with love and remembrance, we welcomed Nóirín’s husband Tony, her children, and many members of the school community. Together, we shared stories, memories, and heartfelt tributes that reflected the deep affection and respect we all hold for her.
As part of this celebration, we were proud to officially name our outdoor classroom Seomra Nóirín in her honour—a space where learning, laughter, and nature come together, just as she would have loved.
Though she is no longer with us, Nóirín’s spirit continues to shine brightly in the halls and hearts of Murroe Ns. Today was a beautiful reminder of the joy she brought into our lives and the legacy she leaves behind.
Go raibh míle maith agat, a Nóirín. You will always be in our hearts.

6th cLass Easter Bonnet
A huge well done to our creative inventors in 6th class for their incredible participation in this year’s Easter Bonnet Parade! Under the expert guidance of Muinteoir Siobhan, the students showcased their ingenuity and artistic flair through a variety of imaginative bonnets.
The parade featured a delightful array of designs, including bonnets inspired by country chickens, popular movies, sporting events, and the creative use of materials. This project not only highlighted the students’ creativity but also served as a fantastic STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) initiative, encouraging them to think outside the box and apply their skills in new and exciting ways. We are immensely proud of the hard work and dedication shown by our 6th class students and Muinteoir Siobhan. Their efforts have brought joy and inspiration to our school community. Congratulations to all involved!
