Munster Rugby coach Nathan O’Meara has been training our 5th and 6th class boys and girls for the past few months. The children got to test their skills at a Munster Rugby Tag Rugby Blitz with other schools in the area last week. Munster Rugby players spoke to the children at half time to speak about their experience with Munster Rugby.

Last Friday the 15th of November we got an incredible opportunity to meet three of Ireland’s top athletes. Two times Olympic champion Kellie Harrington and Olympic Bronze Medalists Philip Doyle and Dáire Lynch!

These superstar athletes shared their inspiring stories, answered students’ questions and demonstrated Olympic Movement breaks.

This week for Anti-Bullying Week, we celebrated diversity by creating odd sock designs and entering the Down Syndrome Ireland Odd Socks Competition. We celebrated International Children’s Day by celebrating and discussing the rights of the Child. We explored ways to be kind to ourselves and our friends. The Mulcair Mens Shed also installed our new Buddy Bench.

On October 18th Limerick Coaching and Games ran a 3rd and 4th Class boys Football Blitz in Na Piarsaigh GAA Pitch.

The girls 7 Aside football team competed in the girls Cumman na mBunscol on Thursday 17th October at Caherelly GAA Grounds.
